10 Most Romantic Kisses from Hollywood

That Will Tug At Our Heartstrings!

Scroll through the list and relive the most romantic kisses from these popular Hollywood Movies. Don’t forget to take inspiration! 😛

1. Titanic (1997) – Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) & Rose Dewitt Bukater (Kate Winslet)

If the romance between Jack Dawson and Rose Bukater’s characters in the nineties’ classic The Titanic can’t sweep you off your feet, nothing will. They are a star-crossed lovers whose ultimately tragic relationship is so earnest that we can’t help but root for them.

On that note, this scene is considered to be one of the most iconic scenes in the history of Hollywood movies. This kiss takes place during one of the more tender and iconic moments of the film, and it is also responsible for making Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” one of the most recognized songs of the late nineties. Jack helps Rose climb up to the top deck of the ship, they’ve been sailing, and right after Rose’s iconic statement “I’m flying”, he kisses her just as the sun begins to rise. The man has game!

2. Spiderman (2002) – Spider-Man / Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) & Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst)

Not only does this kiss make our heart melt but it also defies gravity, making it the one scene in Spiderman that everyone seems to remember the most. Spiderman (played by the ever-handsome, ever-suave Tobey Maguire) plants a wet one on his not-quite-girlfriend Mary Jane Watson in the rain after saving her from a group of thugs. The most heart-stopping part of this kiss? Spiderman kisses her as he hangs upside-down from a building, right after Mary Jane peels off his mask to reveal his true identity as Peter Parker. And this scene also popularizes the upside-down kiss and often it has been termed s the “Spiderman Kiss”.

3. The Fault in our Stars (2014) – Hazel (Shailene Woodley) & Gus (Ansel Elgort)

Two teenage cancer patients begin a life-affirming journey to visit a reclusive author in Amsterdam. And no words can explain this scene better maybe. By rephrasing the John Green quotes a bit, we can only say that “That’s the thing about Love. It demands to be felt.”

4. Gone with the Wind (1939) – Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) & Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh)

“You need kissing badly,” Clark Gable, as Rhett Butler, told Vivien Leigh’s Scarlett O’Hara in this 1939 epic. “You should be kissed, and often. And by someone who knows how.” Later on, while leaving for the battle and while proposing to the twice-widowed Scarlett, he proves he’s the man for the job.

5. The Notebook (2004) – Noah (Ryan Gosling) & Allie (Rachel McAdams)

No list of famous movie kisses would be complete without mentioning this one. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams star as Noah and Allie, former lovers who are reunited when Noah returns from war. Noah ferries Allie across a lake to his house while she, drenched from the pouring rain, demands why he didn’t keep in touch with her while he was off fighting. When Noah tells her that he wrote her 365 letters, one for each day he was gone, we melt a little. When he grabs her and kisses her, all of the desire he’d pent up while he was gone apparent, we are nothing but a puddle of mush.

6. Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) – Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) and Paul Varjak (George Peppard)

Seeing Paul hunt for her missing cat in the rain sparks the sudden realization that Holly loves him, too. Cue Moon River. And they’re so lost in the moment it takes them a while to spot they’re crushing the cat between them. a

7. The Princess Diaries (2001) – Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) & Michael Moscovitz (Robert Schwartzman)

Mia once expressed to her Mom that she wants a Foot-popping kiss just like the ones in old movies. Just like any other girl, she too wanted a love story like that on a fairy-tale. But when he went out with her crush Josh and she got kissed by him, accidentally her feet didn’t pop. But this time the story was different.

8. Beauty and the Beast (2017) – Belle (Emma Watson) & Beast / Prince ( Dan Stevens)

As per the Enchantress’s curse, if the Beast can earn the love of another before the last petal falls, the spell will be broken. Otherwise, he will be doomed to forever remain a beast. But Belle saved him while she expressed her love for the Beast and thus proving to be loved truly, you don’t need a pretty face or a handsome bod!

9. Pretty Woman (1990) – Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) & Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts)

A modern-day fairy-tale needs a modern-day castle, so Edward has to clamber up the fire exit to reach prostitute Vivian’s room. It was pure romance, provided you can ignore the fact Edward had been paying for it up until now.

10. Romeo + Juliet (1996) – Romeo(Leonardo DiCaprio) & Juliet (Claire Danes)

A joyful tumble from the balcony to swimming pool after a fancy dress ball, with both still dressed in their highly symbolic costumes. He’s a knight, she’s an angel. And why did they make this list? Seriously? Do you need to ask that? You didn’t learn about these star-crossed lovers in school?
